Kicking off the 90/90 dinner series in DC in celebration of Chef Jacques Pépin’s 90th Birthday.

L'Avant-Garde is proud to support the Jacques Pépin Foundation by donating a portion of the proceeds from the dinner to help empower individuals through culinary education.

Partner Chef Sébastien Giannini proposes a five course menu of French classic dishes, with a modern twist including Lobster and chicken vol-au-vent with Armoricaine sauce followed by Seared scallops, beurre blanc, cauliflower, leeks and caviar then Duck à l'orange, candied apple followed by Truffle Brie then Opera cake, gold leaf for dessert.

Our semi-private dining area, located within our Skylight Room, includes an 10-seat table, obscured behind curtains. This room features a commissioned mural, by artist Bryan King, depicting a dinner party set during “Années Folles”, a golden age in French history during the late 1920s known for artistic freedom, social affluence, and a reigning sense of joie de vivre.
